Vocational qualifications with DOTHERM
Up to 12 trainee machinists learn their trade in the state-of-the-art in-house training workshop.
"Steel teaches" - as the training manager Markus Füllgraf likes to tell his trainees. True to this approach, DOTHERM trainees begin with the tried-and-tested approach to materials-processing: with a vice and a metal file. This is always the best way to get a feel for the range of materials with which they are to work, and provides a good basis for everything which comes next.
In order to progress to the more developed aspects of this profession, trainees begin by learning the basics on lathes and milling machines. As only practice makes perfect, the instructors place considerable value on learning the basics before proceeding to the CNC production.
Whilst the training workshop is run by DOTHERM GmbH + Co. KG, the trainees also learn in departments of its affiliates DOCERAM and DOCERAM Medical Ceramics.
After completing their basic training, machinists then have to decide whether to specialise in turning or milling. Both choices require a high degree of specialisation in terms of the different procedures involved and provide qualifications which will stand their holders in good stead in the coming industry 4.0. Looking to this future, the training programme also covers automated production using industrial robots.
As we can see, learning at DOTHERM is fun, and its trainees acquire qualifications which range from basic machining to the control of fully-automated industrial manufacturing processes. Those interested in a state-of-the-art technical profession need look no further - we look forward to your application.
